Who we are and what Bookasan is
Bookasan is run by BOOKASAN (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED, a company based in Islamabad, Pakistan ("Bookasan", "we", "us"). Our website and app let you discover sports venues, book a court or slot, and pay for it.
Venues are independent businesses. When you book, you are booking the venue's court or facility. Bookasan provides the platform, handles the online payment and applies our refund policy. We do not own, run or supervise the venues.
Accepting these Terms
By creating an account, or by booking through Bookasan, you agree to these Terms, our Cancellation & Refund Policy and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Bookasan.
Bookasan is for anyone who plays sport. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should supervise your account and your payments, and they are responsible for your bookings.
Your account
- Give us accurate details, and keep them up to date.
- Verify your email address. We send a code to it. You cannot pay for anything online until it is verified, and only a verified email links bookings and refunds to your account. Your profile phone number is for the venue to reach you; it does not prove a booking is yours.
- Keep your password private. What happens on your account is your responsibility, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has got in.
- One person, one account.
Making a booking
- Availability and prices are set by the venue and shown live.
- When you start checking out, we hold your slot for 15 minutes while you pay. If a payment fails, or you come back without paying, we keep the slot about 5 more minutes. You get one more try, and the slot is held for at least 10 minutes while you make it. If that also fails, or you do not complete payment in time, the slot is released.
- If you come back from the payment page without a success, or two minutes pass with no answer, we treat that attempt as not completed and offer a retry. If your bank confirms the payment later, we still book the slot while it is held; if the slot has gone, we refund that payment in full. If the payment page has already shown you a success, we never ask you to pay again.
- A booking made on bookasan.com exists only once we confirm your payment. You then receive a booking number and a confirmation email.
- Some venues' own websites let you book and pay at the venue instead. That is not offered on bookasan.com. Such a booking is confirmed without an online payment and carries no booking fee; it is between you and the venue, and any refund is up to the venue.
- A venue may move a booking you paid for online to another court, day or time. It cannot change the price, the length or the equipment, and we email you. If the new time does not suit you, you can cancel under the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
- The venue's own rules apply while you are there: opening hours, safety, dress, equipment and behaviour.
- Your slot ends at the scheduled time. Arriving late does not extend it.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in Pakistani rupees (PKR).
- What you pay is the court price, which is the venue's, plus a Bookasan booking fee. The booking fee can differ by city, sport and time of day, and also applies to paid tournament entries. The total is shown before you pay.
- A single online payment can be at most Rs 50,000.
- Online payments are taken by our payment provider (currently Swich, which processes payments through PayFast). Bookasan does not see or store your card number.
- A payment processing fee applies to the part you pay online. It is never charged on points, and some venues pay it themselves. Checkout shows exactly what you are charged.
- The booking fee and the processing fee are not refundable. See the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
- If a payment goes through but your booking cannot be confirmed, or you pay twice for the same thing, the payment is recorded for a refund and we refund it in full. Contact us if you have not heard from us.
Your points wallet
Points are Bookasan's wallet credit. One point is worth Rs 1.
- Points come from refunds and from top-ups you buy.
- You can spend points on court bookings at any venue on Bookasan, in full or in part. Points cannot be used for tournament entry fees. Using points does not remove the booking fee, but there is no processing fee on points.
- If your points do not cover the whole booking, at least Rs 10 must be paid online; checkout uses slightly fewer points if needed.
- Points you put towards a checkout you do not complete come back to your wallet automatically, usually within an hour.
- You can add between Rs 100 and Rs 50,000 of points in one top-up, including the processing fee.
- Points never expire.
- Points cannot be withdrawn as cash, paid to a bank account or mobile wallet, sold, or transferred to another account.
- When you add points, a payment processing fee is charged once, at that time. Top-ups are not refundable once added to your wallet.
- Points belong to your account. If you ask us to delete your account, use up your balance first: unspent points cannot be paid out.
- If points are added or removed by mistake, or through misuse, we can correct the balance and will tell you.
Cancellations and refunds
In short: at most venues cancellation is free if you cancel more than 1 hour before the start, and you get 100% of the court price back as points, straight away. A venue on an earlier agreement may need more notice or refund a smaller share; the app shows your booking's notice period and exact refund before you confirm, and that is what you receive. The booking fee and the processing fee are not refunded. Closer than that, the venue decides, and only genuine reasons are accepted. Refunds are always in points. The full rules, with examples, are in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.
Who is responsible for what
- running the platform and keeping your account and booking records safe
- handling your online payment and confirming your booking
- applying the Cancellation & Refund Policy fairly
- responding when you contact us for help.
- injury, illness or loss of life while playing, or damage to or loss of your belongings at a venue
- the quality, safety or state of a venue, or the actions of venue staff, other players or other visitors
- a venue's failure to honour a booking, beyond the refund we owe you under the Refund Policy
- delays or failures of services we do not control, such as your internet or phone network, the payment provider or the banks
- information about a venue that the venue supplied and that turns out to be wrong. Tell us and we will fix it.
- the condition, safety and cleanliness of its facilities and equipment
- honouring your confirmed booking and giving you the slot you paid for
- the accuracy of its listing, opening hours and prices
- the conduct of its staff.
Natural disasters and events outside our control
Neither Bookasan nor a venue is in breach of these Terms where we cannot perform because of something outside our reasonable control. That includes floods, heavy rain or storms, earthquakes, fire, an epidemic, an official order or closure, strikes, war or unrest, and power, internet or payment-system failures.
If one of these stops your booking going ahead, the genuine-reason rules in the Cancellation & Refund Policy apply: the venue can refund up to 100% of the court price in points. If the venue cancels because it cannot host you, you get 100% back in points automatically.
Using Bookasan properly
Please do not:
- make bookings you do not intend to use, or hold slots to keep others out;
- give a false reason for a refund, or misuse cancellations or chargebacks;
- use someone else's account, payment method or identity;
- harass venue staff, other players or our team;
- copy, scrape or attack the platform, or try to get around its security.
We can refuse a booking, suspend an account or remove content where these rules are broken. You can stop using Bookasan at any time and ask us to delete your account.
Getting help
Messages you send from Help & support, including to Doodle, our support assistant, become support requests that people on the Bookasan team read and answer, in the app and by email. Doodle may also answer common questions automatically from our help articles; an automatic answer is labelled as one, it cannot change a booking, a refund or your account, and you can always ask for a person. If we need something from a venue to answer you, we ask the venue ourselves; you do not message venues through Bookasan. You can always write to contact-us@bookasan.com.
Reviews and what you post
Reviews and messages you post must be honest and lawful. You keep ownership of what you write, and you give Bookasan permission to display it on the platform. We can remove content that is abusive, false or unlawful.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Bookasan's total liability to you for anything connected with a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking through Bookasan. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost opportunities or lost profits.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law of Pakistan.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is important we will tell you by email or in the app. Using Bookasan after a change means you accept it. Changes do not affect a booking you have already made.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Please contact us first, so we can try to sort out any problem informally. If we cannot, the courts of Islamabad have jurisdiction.
